I was looking for proof that CO2 causes global warming and I went to the IPCC site..?

...and their reports are like 800 pages long. Now, a thing can be huge and still be false and who is going to read something like that? So can you understand why people would be suspicious of GW theory and think it's all a plot to cripple industry or control everyone? GW theorists have a done a great job propagating the idea of GW but a lousy job proving it to the mes. But I am convinced. But only because I looked at Venus and saw that the atmosphere there is mostly CO2. But...1 question: Why should anyone take the IPCC and the GW people seriously about fixing the environment if neither is willing to put forth some global 'kyoto protocol' dealing with population reduction? Afterall, the CO2 is a product of billions of people, the effects will be detrimental to us largely because there's billions of us and constantly more. If these people, beating this 'go green' drum, aren't y enough to put forth the unpopular idea of population control and reduction then why should I care about reducing the CO2 by inconveniencing myself? For the record, I've never owned a car and I don't have children. But without this 'protocol' all the 'go green' stuff is just hot air.
