Is it possible for a REAL Christian to stop believing?

Many many people go through a crisis of faith. I've only occasionally seen when that has resulted in your former pastor's result but of course it does. I think his rationale is covering up some deep psychological problems that were never resolved when he began his spiritual journey. THAT I have seen, many times, and if it isn't resolved, a person stays separated from God.
