What does Self-Discipline mean to you?

How can you expect someone to know how to be disciplined (no matter whats at stake) for you when in order to be disciplined one must understand they are doing it for themselves; it isn't a burden or a punishment rather a journey to a goal that will better oneself that will lead to everyone reaping the rewards.
